Outdoor centres and travel companies for school residentials

A residential gives pupils a few days of shared challenge that is hard to recreate in school. The listings here include outdoor activity centres run by charities and travel companies that organise residentials and subject study tours in the UK and abroad.

Business managers will want to compare what is included, such as meals, instruction, equipment and transport, and how payments from families are collected. Trip leaders should ask about staff to pupil ratios, who leads each activity, night-time supervision and how the centre supports pupils with medical or additional needs.
